I am almst at my wits end. I sued and was granted child support from my ex who is now in another state. For the past 4 years I have received payments off and on (he’s lost his job, he’s been injured and can not work, part time work…etc) my arrears are up to $25,0000.

This last time I was recieving a quarter of what he owes me per month (but money is money and my children need it!) I contacted child support services to enforce full payments, but they told me as long as he is paying something per month, they could not do much. I asked if they could suspend his license or put him in jail for non payment, something to tell him this is a serious matter and they mean business. They told me if he did not pay anything in a months time, that would certainly raise a red flag and something may be done. Well this past month, I did not get any payments. So I called up the child support services and still NOTHING!!!

What can I do? I am scraping and sacrificing to provide for my children while he is remarried, living off his wife’s parents, going to school and doing absolutel nothing for his children. This systems sure does suck for mothers who have deadbeat exes!!

I’m am soooo frustrated over this! If anyone has advise or a success story I would LOVE to hear it.
